Building debris pickup debated

Every year since Greenville refuse crews stopped picking up construction and demolition debris, Public Works Director Wes Anderson says a city council member has asked about reinstating the program.

This year is no different.

During a meeting on the budget in mid-May, Councilman Max Joyner Jr. brought up the possibility of funding a city collection program so that bricks, carpet and other home improvement materials don't sit on the curb.
