The East Carolina University Summer Theater usually offers three productions during the summer.

The S. Rudolph Alexander Performing Arts Series

  • 7:30 p.m. Oct. 3: The Tierney Sutton Band featuring jazz vocalist Tierney Sutton
  • 7:30 p.m. Oct. 17: New York Gilbert & Sullivan Players present "Pirates of Penzance"
  • 7:30 p.m. Nov. 7: L.A. Theatre Works presents "The Caine Mutiny Court-Martial"
  • 7:30 p.m. Jan. 5, 2007: Grammy-award winning violinist Hilary Hahn,
  • 7:30 p.m. Jan. 31, 2007: The North Carolina Symphony with Grant Llewellyn conducting and guest soloist cellist Denise Djokic
  • 7:30 p.m. Feb. 16, 2007: The Koresh Dance Company
  • 7:30 p.m. March 6, 2007: Moscow Festival Ballet
  • 7:30 p.m. April 27, 2007: Emerson String Quartet

  • 7 p.m. March 30, 2007: Mum Puppettheatre presents "The Adventure of a Boy and His Dog on the High Seas"
  • 2 p.m April 14, 2007: Storybook Theatre presents Chester Freeman's "Runaway Bear"

Farmville Community Arts Council
The Farmville Community Arts Council will present several theater productions throughout the year. Call 753-3832.

  • Oct. 5-8: "Moon Over Buffalo"
  • Nov. 16-19: "Scrooge! The Musical"
  • March 29-April 1, 2007: Spring musical to be announced
  • May 30-June 3, 2007: "Hilarious Hillbilly Massacre"
