This week, citizens of Pitt County will take to the streets — literally — in defense of public education.
A number of local teachers are planning trips to Raleigh for the One Voice Rally on Tuesday.
Led by the North Carolina Association of Educators, the rally will protest looming cuts to K-12 public schools as the state budget is being developed in the House.
