East Carolina University held the ninth annual Youth Arts Festival on Saturday. This free event was held on the “mall” area in the center of campus.
The festival brought more than 100 visual and performing artists to campus to share their creative talents. Children had a chance to visit with artists demonstrating activities such as wheel-thrown ceramics, traditional watercolor painting, weaving, blacksmithing, paper-making, print-making, portraiture and other visual art media.
