A paraplegic man a was found dead by his neighbor at his home Thursday in the town of Bath in Beaufort County, the apparent victim of homicide, deputies confirmed Friday.
Leonard Alfred Willson III, 53, of 115 S. Main St. was discovered at his single-family home just after 12:40 p.m. Thursday by his neighbor, Capt. Kenneth Watson said. The neighbor had become concerned for Willson's welfare after not seeing him for days and called 911 upon discovering his body, Watson said.
Willson used a wheelchair. No arrests have been made in connection with the case, but investigators are asking for information from the public while they await autopsy results, the officer said.
