Butterfield elected to Congressional Black Caucus

U.S. Rep. G.K. Butterfield, D-N.C., was elected first vice chairman of the Congressional Black Caucus on Wednesday.

Butterfield, a Wilson County Democrat, will move to the organization’s number two position when the 113th Congress begins in January.


Butterfield currently serves as the second vice chairman.
