The momentum toward the leftist philosophy has been stopped by Republicans in Raleigh, but representatives like Brian Brown are needed to “get things straight,” Rep. Paul Stam said on Thursday.

The N.C. House Majority Leader’s comments came during an afternoon campaign reception for Brown, a candidate for N.C. House District 9.

About 20 people listened to Stam’s recap of the 2011-12 session of the N.C. General Assembly and were encouraged to vote and gather votes for the candidate.
