February is American Heart Month, but the staff at the East Carolina Heart Institute at Vidant Medical Center always is thinking about that.

To share their growing body of medical and clinical knowledge about the heart and its care, Vidant Health and its physician partners have invited the public on Saturday to the fifth annual Heart Expo at the Greenville Convention Center, from 9 a.m. until noon.

The entire event is free and filled with fun and practical activities for the whole family, said Stacey Greenway, Vidant’s cardiovascular and pulmonary rehabilitation program manager and Heart Expo coordinator.
