ECU made an extra $100,000 from Conference USA for opting to move Saturday’s football game against Florida Atlantic to Thursday night so the game could air on the Fox Sports1 network.

That is in addition to the more than $1 million in television revenue the school will make this year, according to C-USA spokeswoman Courtney Morrison Archer. Total television revenue will be between $13 million and $17 million, which will be split among the 16 teams in the conference.

Tom McClellan, ECU’s athletics media relations director, said all revenue generated by athletics is considered non-state funds and put back into the athletics operating budget.

but its a net loss

They may have been paid an additional 100,000 but with the reduced attendance, concession sales and merchandise sales I'm sure it cost them more then that....and lets not forget about the hotels that miss a very important packed weekend and the restaurants missing out on visitors staying in Greenville for 2 nights...nope Thursday ball is a loser for the school and unfair to the community.....at least we won, GO PIRATES!!!!!
