Greenville and Brook Valley country clubs are expected to merge in a few months, and members were informed in an email sent Saturday.

The governing board of the member-owned Greenville Country Club unanimously voted on Feb. 2 to buy the privately owned Brook Valley County Club at an undisclosed price. Based upon a letter of intent, a due diligence process will be undertaken first.

Spokesmen for both country clubs said the facilities will be open to members of both, and fees will be grandfathered at the current rate for a year to 16 months.
