Counselors were at Grifton School on Wednesday after the death of a 13-year-old who hanged himself last week.

The boy, an eighth-grader at the school, hanged himself from a bunk bed at his home on Thursday, Grifton Police Chief Bryan Cauley said.

Responders were able to revive him but he died at a hospital on Tuesday, Cauley said.
