Highway Patrol has closed the Grimesland Bridge to clear out several wrecks  and due to icy conditions, and troopers are directing traffic to other routes.

The bridge is covered in ice, and the N.C. Department of Transportation is looking at the roadway to determine how to treat it, if possible.

The bridge will reopen once the wrecks are cleared and N.C. Department of Transportation, though no time estimate is available.
