A groundbreaking new exhibition at the North Carolina Museum of Art in Raleigh brings together the largest number of authentic Rembrandt van Rijn paintings from American collections ever assembled.
Forty-six paintings will be on display in “Rembrandt in America” today through Jan. 22, 2012, before the exhibit travels to Cleveland and then Minnesota.
“This is the only East Coast venue,” said the museum’s director, Larry Wheeler, at a media day held on Thursday.
