A February groundbreaking is expected for an extended-stay hotel in Greenville meant to serve family and patients of the new Veterans Affairs clinic opening in 2014.
Greensboro-based developer Bhupen Patel, president of his family’s company BPR Properties LLC, said his company plans to build a 71,183-square-foot, four-story Residence Inn by Marriott with about 95 rooms.
The 2.19-acre hotel site is located along West Fifth Street, on the opposite side of Moye Boulevard extension from a Jimmy John’s restaurant and a Microtel Inn and Suites, near East Carolina University’s Brody School of Medicine and close to Pitt County Memorial Hospital.
