Pitt County wasn’t alone in its outbreak of confirmed norovirus cases last week, a Pitt County Health Department epidemiologist said.

There haven’t been any new reports of outbreaks of the gastrointestinal illness in Pitt, said Amy Belflower-Thomas.

The state Department of Health and Human Services issued a news release earlier this week that said several health departments statewide have reported outbreaks of norovirus throughout January.
