Two Pitt County commissioners were elected to the executive committees of two statewide organizations last weekend.
Commissioner Glen Webb was selected second vice chairman of the North Carolina Association of County Commissioners during the organization’s annual meeting. Commissioner Melvin McLawhorn was elected second vice chairman of the N.C. Association of Black Elected County Commissioners.
The association of county commissioners advocates for the state’s 100 counties before the General Assembly, Congress and the judicial system.
