A Saturday quiz bowl showcased children’s knowledge of black history and the bright futures of the participating youth, organizers said.

Hundreds of people filled the Pitt County Agricultural Center to watch and support 10 teams compete during the 2012 Greenville Community Black History Quiz Bowl.

Prior to the competition, Pastor Jeffrey Robinson said the youth participating in the quiz bowl have successful futures.
