Those who want to attend graduation for Pitt County’s six high schools this weekend should be on their best behavior — and be on time.
The gates to Minges Coliseum at ECU will close 20 minutes after the start of each ceremony as part of new procedures enacted this year to reinstate dignity into commencement ceremonies.
Increasing distractions like late arrivals and excessive cheering in past ceremonies led the Board of Education to create a Graduation Task Force last year.
