Service to honor Korean War vets

A Winterville church will host a service on June 23 to honor military veterans who helped change the course of Korea 60 years ago.

Peace Presbyterian Church at 301 Guiness Drive will host the first service of its kind to recognize Korean War veterans in the area at 11 a.m. on June 23.


The Rev. Gun Ho Lee, pastor of the church’s Korean congregation, said members requested to have a joint service to pay tribute to the military heroes.
