Funding to better the community soon will be available from the United Way of Pitt County.

The local chapter of the national charitable coalition is kicking off its 2012-13 grant cycle.

Informational sessions will be held Nov. 15 from 10 a.m. to noon and Nov. 17 from 2-4 p.m. to assist interested organizations with the application process. Attendance is required at one session to be eligible to receive the grant money. Participants do not have to attend both.
