The United Way of Pitt County is on a trajectory to change the community.

The local chapter of the national charitable coalition kicked off its annual campaign with a space-themed “Destination Collaboration” luncheon on Thursday at the R.G. Michels Center.

“Our overall mission is to explore the challenging issues facing our community,” interimExecutive Director Renee Blount said during her opening presentation. “We have a shared commitment to the community and with you to create lasting change within our most pressing issues and prevent them from continuing.”
