Pitt County students and staff have Martin Luther King Day off today, but students at one school will return Tuesday for a partial makeup day, and staff will return for state training.
Students at G.R. Whitfield School will be the only ones in class as their school holds a special half day to make up for a day missed after Hurricane Irene. G.R. Whitfield buses will run their usual routes in the morning. The afternoon routes will be run three hours early.
