Traffic kept flowing even after a two-vehicle wreck that blocked a portion of North Memorial Drive near N.C. 33 West on Wednesday afternoon, according to Greenville police.
The wreck happened at 12:11 p.m. along North Memorial Drive at the intersection of Easy Street, located several hundred feet south of N.C. 33 West.
The wreck happened when Kathy Bradley, 43, of Greenville, attempted to make a left turn off North Memorial Drive onto Easy Street, according to a report filed by Master Patrol Officer R.E. Jones.
As Bradley crossed the southbound lanes of North Memorial Drive her Ford Expedition was struck by a Mercedes Benz driven by Jebrandon Jones, 24, of Oak City. The impact caused the Expedition to roll on its left side and block both southbound lanes.
Officer Jones said when he arrived on the scene Bradley and Jebrandon Jones were out of the vehicles, walking around. Jebrandon Jones was transported to Pitt County Memorial Hospital for treatment. Information about his condition was unavailable. Officer Jones said Bradley declined transportation to the hospital.
Bradley was cited for an unsafe movement violation.
Officer Jones said the wreck didn’t block the Easy Street entrance so traffic was diverted down N.C. 33 and onto and out of Easy Street.
