Center for Artists
I realize this isn't Alexandria, Richmond or even Raleigh, but those cities have taken old buildings, factories, etc and converted them into work spaces for artists to not only perform their craft but sell their work. They all seem to thrive. I can't believe we could not have something like that here. There is so much available space and we certainly have a wealth of talent from ECU.
Those tax credits make it even more enticing. I've got the willingness to volunteer... but not the money. Somebody needs to take the lead and make this happen here.
