CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) — A New York call center services company plans to add up to 100 jobs in North Carolina in the next two months.
The Charlotte Observer reported Tuesday that iQor already has about 900 workers at its center in Charlotte.
The company said the entry-level wage will be up to $11 per hour. Bonuses are based on performance and health benefits are available after a training period.
The company provides call center work for a number of industries. An iQor spokesman says those hired in Charlotte will work primarily for telecommunications and utility companies.
The company operates other call centers in the United States, Canada, India and the Philippines.
