Greenville police are investigating a report Friday night that a shot was fired from a passing vehicle into the ABC store at 3196 E. 10th St., according to a department news bulletin.

A store employee called a Pitt County ABC officer to report the shooting at 7:33 p.m. The officer alerted Greenville police, who were dispatched to the scene, the report said.

The ABC officer told police he located a bullet hole in the front of the building, possibly fired from a dark-colored truck, according to the report.
