Nearly three months after being placed on leave for a self-defense shooting, Simpson’s only police officer is back on duty.
“It feels great to be back to work,” Simpson Chief John Waters Jr. said. “I’m proud to be back and proud to be serving the citizens of Simpson once again.”
Waters, 31, was returned to full active status on Dec. 23, almost two weeks after being cleared by a grand jury for the Oct. 2 shooting of William Scott Osbun.
