Mrs. Essie Ree Buck celebrated her 96th birthday on Thursday August 11, 2011. She started celebrating starting Saturday, August 6, 2011, with her son, Charles Buck and his children, and continued celebrating Sunday with a party given by her grandson and his wife, Anthony and Rebecca Ayscue and her daughter, Betty Merritt. Many of her friends and family were in attendance. She was given a special birthday breakfast with her nephew Mayhew Bell and his wife Eleanor on Tuesday August 10, 2011. She is a beloved mother, grandmother and friend to all who know her.
