Beverly Amanda Askew and Geoff Thomas Czaplijski were married at 2 p.m. at Fort Fisher State Park in Wilmington on Oct 8, 2011. The Pastor Marshall Wise officiated the double ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Ms. Terri Johnson Askew and Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Askew, all of Greenville. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Czaplijski of Greenville.
The wedding party consisted of Jordan Oakley, maid of honor; and Leigh Snider, matron of honor. The bridesmaids were Ashley Askew and Alexis Askew, sisters of the bride; Karli and Kourtney Czaplijski, sisters of the groom; and Lauren Edmondson.
The best man was Ryan Tallant of Colorado Springs, Colo. The groomsmen were Johan Icard, T.J. Worthham, Omar Said; Alex Askew and Adam Askew, brothers of the bride.
An engagement party barbecue was given Oct. 23, 2010, by Thomas and Cheryl Czaplijski at their home in Greenville. A bridesmaid’s luncheon was given on July 31, 2011 at A Tavola! in Greenville, by the bride’s mother and stepmother. A lingerie shower was given by the bridal party in Charlotte on her Bachelorette weekend in August. A bridal shower was held at the home of Terri Askew on August 20, 2011 and given by her and her sister, Laurie Spring. The rehearsal dinner, given by the parents of the groom, was held at the Hilton Riverside Wilmington on Oct. 7, 2011.
The bride is a graduate of J.H. Rose High school and UNCW. She earned a BA in Psychology and is currently employed by CVS drugstore.
The groom graduated from J.H. Rose High School and UNCW. He earned a BA in Enviromental Studies and is currently employed by The Reel Cafe in Wilmington.
The wedding reception was held at The Reel Cafe in downtown Wilmington, following the wedding.
The couple spent their Honeymoon in Montego Bay, Jamaica and they will reside in Wilmington.
