Blair Elizabeth Albritton and Thomas Fleming Taft Jr. were united in marriage on April 14, 2012 at 5 p.m. at Figure Eight Island Yacht Club. David Jacob Goehring officiated the double-ring ceremony. The bride was escorted by her father, Charles Hopkin Albritton III.
The bride is the daughter of Ms. Kathryn Batchelor Albritton of Nashville and Mr. and Mrs. Charles H. Albritton III of Hookerton. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Bille Johnson Albritton and the late Charles H. Albritton Jr. of Hookerton, and the late Hubbard B. Batchelor and Willie Dozier Batchelor of Nashville.
The groom is the son of Ms. Kathy Arnold Taft of Kinston and Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Fleming Taft Sr. of Greenville. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Edmund Hoover Taft Jr. of Greenville and the late Dr. and Mrs. Jesse Hoyt Arnold of Kinston.
Ms. Cross Kelley, friend of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Amanda Albritton, Mrs. Jenna Albritton, Ms. Leslie Garris, Ms. Maria Mastoras, and Ms. Danielle Sheppard. Miss Lillian Grace Albritton was flower girl.
Mr. Thomas Fleming Taft Sr., father of the groom, was best man. Groomsmen were Mr. Brian Michael Bongo, Mr. James Grant Gilbert, Mr. Jeffrey Clark Hazelton, Mr. Malcolm Piers McDonald IV, Mr. Jonathan Gudmund Taft, and Mr. Ryal Woodall Tayloe Jr. Master Nicholas Wilder Fuqua was ring bearer.
A reception followed the ceremony at Figure Eight Island Yacht Club. A rehearsal dinner was given prior to the ceremony at Cape Fear Men’s Club.
A bridal shower was hosted at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Randy Kelley in Kinston. An engagement party was given at the Greenville Country Club.
The bride is a graduate of East Carolina University.
The groom studied at the College of Charleston and is employed as a Project Manager at Taft Family Offices.
After a honeymoon to France and Italy, they will make their home in Greenville.
