Kristin Williams and Curtis McLawhorn were united in marriage on Dec. 7, 2011 at 4 p.m. at the Tranquility Bay Resort in Marathon, Fla. It was a beautiful outdoor wedding held under a gazebo with the setting sun in the background.
The bride was escorted by and given in marriage by her father. The father of the groom was best man.
In attendance from the bride’s side were her parents, John and Rhonda Williams of Leland, and Ryan and Bethany Decker of Albuquerque, N.M. The bride’s sister, Bethany Decker, was matron of honor and the bride’s niece, Brooklyn, was the flower girl.
In attendance from the groom’s side were his parents, Frank and Rita McLawhorn of Chocowinity, and Alex and Georgina Greer, sister of the groom, of Lexington.
A reception dinner was held at the Butterfly Caf at the Tranquility Bay Resort. Afterwards Kristin and Curtis honeymooned in Key West, Fla.
Kristin and Curtis are graduates from NC State University. They currently reside in Raleigh.
Kristin is the granddaughter of Rita Williams and Curtis Belcher of Durham. Curtis is the grandson of Curtis and Barbara Mills of Ayden, and Janice McLawhorn of Grifton.
