Marissa Gayle Phillips and Justin Edwin Tart were married at four o’clock on Saturday, Dec. 31, 2011, in Winterville. The Rev. John Hill Jr. officiated.
he bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Phillips of Greensboro. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Allred of Randleman and Mr. and Mrs. Albert Phillips of Burlington. She attends ECU and is pursuing a business degree. She is employed by Wells Fargo Dealer Services in Winterville.
The groom is the son of Mrs. Patsi Smith Tart and the late Paul Edwin Tart Jr. He is the grandson of Mrs. Nancy Lee Smith and the late Mr. Dee Barwick Smith, and also the late Mr. and Mrs. Paul Edwin Tart Sr. He is a graduate of ECU and is employed by Wells Fargo Advisors in Greenville.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents and sister, McKayla JoAnn Phillips.
The couple will reside in Winterville with their dog, Jake.
