On May 8, Pitt County voters will cast ballots in this year’s primary election. Today, The Daily Reflector offers its editorial board’s recommendation for agriculture commissioner, labor commissioner and state treasurer.
Both the Republican and Democratic ballots have contested races for agriculture commissioner. On the GOP side, incumbent Steve Troxler seeks a third term in office against Tea Party-inspired challenger Bill McManus, while Yadkin County farmer Walter Smith and Chatham County farmer Scott Bryant face off for the Democratic nomination.
