East Carolina University would like to respond to a statement in a Reflector “Dart” published Jan. 28 which contains a serious error in regards to the review of confidential personnel records by its former student media director, Paul Isom.

The Dart stated the university “has not allowed the adviser to review the material” in his confidential personnel record.

Upon request, the university makes available to any employee his or her personnel records to the best of the university’s ability and to the full extent required by law. The university has done so in this instance.
