It is time for a “see, I told you so” letter to the liberals. This one has to do with the changes made to the Carrying a Concealed Weapon law.
In 2013, the General Assembly approved changes to where a CCW permit holder could carry their weapon. The first one had to do with having a gun on education property. It is now acceptable to have your gun on an education property as long as it remains locked in your car. The liberals claimed there would be a massive increase in the number of car break-ins on college campuses.
The second one had to do with carrying your gun into a place where alcohol is served on the premises so long as the person carrying said gun didn’t drink alcohol. The liberals claimed that there would be shootings in bars and restaurants. The law has been in effect for more than five months now. No increase in either has been reported.
