Man stops car break-in

The owner of a vehicle on Fren Drive on Thursday detained a man trying to break into the car, according to the Greenville Police Department.Officers repsonded to 2003 Fern Drive abou 4:30 a.m. in reference to a breaking and entering of a motor vehicle in progress, a news release said.

The owner of the vehicle had caught the suspect in the act and was able to detain him until officers arrived, the release said. A wallet and sunglasses valued at $200 had been stolen.

Grayson Little Bullock, 43, 4343 West Church St., Farmville, was charged with breaking and entering of a motor vehicle and larceny after breaking and entering. He was being held at the Pitt County Detention Center under a $20,000 secured bond.

Armed robbery

Greenville police responded to an armed robbery report Wednesday night at a city nightclub. An employee of The Great American Mining Company, 1008 Dickinson Ave., was reportedly held up at knifepoint by an unidentified person who demanded his money. No injuries were reported in the incident. An investigation is continuing. 

Rape

Officers are investigating a report that a 26-year-old woman was struck by an unidentified man who grabbed and held, then raped her. The incident occurred between 12:30-2:30 p.m. Wednesday at her home. Other details of the incident were withheld by police.

1200 block of Clark Street, 9:30 p.m. Wednesday; 46-year-old male victim; minor injuries reported; girlfriend arrested.

400 block of Cotanche Street, 1:30 a.m.-4:34 a.m.; 21-year-old man struck by a stranger at a night club; injuries not reported by police.

800 block of Fleming Street, 10:25 p.m. Wednesday; 33-year-old woman struck by boyfriend; injuries not reported by police.

Southeast Greenville Boulevard and Red Banks Road, 9:30 a.m. Wednesday; 21-year-old woman assaulted with deadly weapon by someone she knew while walking on street; weapon and injuries not reported by police.

 

Larcenies

2000 block of Fern Drive, 2:30 a.m.-3:35 a.m. Wednesday; wallet, sunglasses valued at $200 stolen from car; one arrested.

100 block of Daughtridge Drive, 7 p.m. Wednesday to 7:15 a.m. Thursday; car stereo equipment and batteries valued at $3,750 stolen from SUV.

4000 block of Whitebridge Drive, Winterville, 6 p.m.-11:20 p.m. Wednesday; rear door to home pried; iPod charger, video game console and equipment, television, computer valued at $2,243 stolen.

300 block of Lindsay Drive, 8:30 p.m. Monday- 7:30 a.m. Tuesday; GPS unit valued at $400 stolen from car.

3200 block of Brasswood Court, Jan. 1-Feb.10; rear door of home kicked in; jewelry valued at $650 stolen from bedroom.

1500 block of Woodwind Drive, 8:20 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesday; side door at home pried; jewelry, computers valued at $4,975 stolen.

2105 Dickinson Ave., 9:10 a.m. Wednesday; steaks valued at $14 stolen from Piggly Wiggly; two arrested.

210 S.W. Greenville Blvd., 5:03 p.m. Sunday; CDs valued at $99.23 stolen from Wal-Mart; one arrested.

Vehicle theft

3700 block of Jessica Lauren Way, Winterville, 8 a.m. Monday to 2 p.m. Wednesday; white 1999 GMC 3500 pickup truck valued at $10,000 stolen.
