Police are looking for three men following a Saturday armed robbery at a Kangaroo convenience store that hospitalized a store clerk, a Greenville Police Department news release stated.

Jason Rowsan, 22, was transported to Pitt County Memorial Hospital for treatment of non-threatening injuries. He told police that two suspects walked into the Kangaroo store, 2600 Charles Blvd., acting as if they were planning to buy something. While the clerk was interacting with the pair, a third man armed with a shotgun entered and struck Rowsan in the back of the head.

The clerk’s condition was unavailable Sunday afternoon, said a PCMH spokesman.

The three men fled the store on foot with an undetermined amount of money from the register. They were last seen running east on Charles Boulevard.

All three suspects are described as black males, the news release stated. One was wearing a Yankees baseball hat and a gray, hooded sweatshirt. The second also wore a Yankees cap, but with a blue sweatshirt and khaki pants. The third, who carried the shotgun, was described as wearing a black sweatshirt and black jeans, with a bandana covering his face.
