Ayden woman assaulted with deadly weapon

An Ayden woman was assaulted with an unnamed blunt object by one of her children Friday at her home on Wall Road, according to a report from the Greenville Police Department. The 64-year-old had minor injuries.

A refund check worth $380 and an additional $160 in cash also were reported stolen.
