Greenville police are investigating a report that someone bypassed the lock system to enter a 43-year-old man’s SUV in a parking lot in the 200 block of Southwest Greenville Boulevard between 11:45 p.m. Tuesday and 10 a.m. Wednesday. An iPod, MP3 player and GPS unit valued at $830 were stolen.

Rape reported

Greenville police are investigating a report that a 30-year-old woman was raped on Feb. 20 about 6 p.m. at the home of the alleged offender, according to a report released Thursday. Further information about the incident is being withheld while the investigation proceeds.

Burglary arrest

Officers investigated a report that a diamond bracelet valued at $2,000 was stolen from a home in the 4100 block of Hillard Lane between 9 a.m. and 11 p.m. Sunday.

The bracelet was recovered and officers arrested William Keith Daughtridge, 21, of 1438 S. Old Carriage Road, Rocky Mount. Daughtridge was charged with felony larceny and possession of stolen goods. He was held at the Pitt County Detention Center on $6,500 secured bond.

210 S.W. Greenville Blvd., Wal-Mart, 8:11 p.m. Wednesday; items valued at $173 stolen; two arrested for misdemeanor larceny and abetting.

100 block of Ridge Place, between 3:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m Wednesday; rear window of home pried open; televisions, DVD player valued at $370 stolen.

3300 block of Frontgate Drive, 1 p.m. Wednesday; home break-in; three televisions and a digital camera valued at $450 stolen.

100 block of Concord Drive, between 9 p.m. Wednesday and 7:30 a.m. Thursday; front door of home kicked in; credit cards, wallet, clothing and laptop valued at $475 stolen.
