How quickly the game slows down for quarterback Shane Carden will go a long way in determining how fast the East Carolina football team will grow.
The sophomore quarterback entered the week fresh from a 300-yard, five-touchdown performance against Memphis and being named the Conference USA Offensive Player of the Week. Now, he must start duplicating the same thing every week.
“I think he’s grown in leaps and bounds, and I think you’ll see steady improvement,” ECU head coach Ruffin McNeill said of Carden, who set career highs in yards and TDs in his fifth start. “I’m looking forward to him growing.”
