The East Carolina softball team completed its final preseason practice Thursday afternoon at the ECU Softball Stadium, the same venue where it is scheduled to play five games by the end of the weekend.
The Pirates are set for their first season under the direction of head coach Beth Keylon-Randolph, who replaced longtime coach Tracey Kee last October after Kee was fired. The Pirate Classic begins today, with East Carolina playing Cleveland State at 2:30 p.m. and Ohio at 4:30.
ECU faces Rider and Ohio on Saturday, and Towson on Sunday.
