ECU men face first road test of the season

Almost two years ago, the East Carolina men’s basketball team traveled to Buies Creek and came back to Greenville with a 74-68 loss to Campbell, the Pirates’ lone defeat against the Camels in the teams’ last 10 meetings.

A reinvigorated ECU club, coming off a rare winning season in 2010-11 and a 101-45 season-opening victory over Milligan last Friday, returns to Campbell’s Gore Arena tonight hoping for a better outcome.


The Pirates will tangle with the Camels for the 56th time when tonight’s contest tips off at 7. ECU coach Jeff Lebo, in his second season in charge of the Pirates, is not taking Campbell lightly.
