Throughout the course of a season, basketball teams usually need to find different ways to win and for East Carolina’s men’s team on Thursday, that way was getting to the free throw line.
The Pirates posted their fourth consecutive victory after beating N.C. Central 84-76 in Minges Coliseum, due in large part to a 32-of-39 free throw shooting performance.
Five ECU players reached double-figure scoring, led by Miguel Paul’s career-high 25. Paul did most of his damage at the foul line, knocking down 15-of-17 in a game that featured 63 free throws.
