What began as a slow recruiting year for the East Carolina football team now carries the potential to end with one of the more memorable signing classes in ECU history.
A nationwide trend this year of top recruits biding their time in committing their academic and athletic futures seems to be ending, and the Pirates are battling like never before with the biggest of college football’s big boys for some blockbuster talent.
Although the Pirates’ 2012 signing class will likely top off at 20 or 21 players total, ECU is hopeful the quality will outshine the quantity in a big way.
