When it comes to his play on a basketball court, Miguel Paul is rarely, if ever, satisfied.

After a red hot opening month at point guard for East Carolina last season, Paul described his play as “mediocre,” even though he was averaging 17 points, 5.9 assists and 2.1 steals per game — all team highs — through seven outings.

The 6-foot-1 Winter Haven, Fla., native who transferred to ECU from Missouri finished his junior season leading the Pirates with averages of 15.2 ppg, 5.9 apg and 1.3 spg and all those marks ranked in the top 10 in Conference USA.
