HUNTINGTON, WVa. — The East Carolina men’s basketball team saw its first half lead evaporate quickly on Saturday night, as host Marshall heated up when it counted most and ran away with a 78-68 victory.
For ECU (12-12 overall, 3-8 Conference USA), it was the second straight loss following a three-game win streak.
“Marshall comes into the game and they’re the worst shooting team from the field, the worst 3-point shooting team and the worst foul shooting team in the league, and they shot it so well tonight,” ECU coach Jeff Lebo said of the road loss. “They really just made shots. We made too many errors in the second half.”
