Leach excited for next step

WASHINGTON, N.C. — Being pursued by several National Football League teams is probably a little more flattering than having people ask for an autograph or picture, but Vonta Leach seems to be treating both situations with an equal amount of patience these days.

Leach, a three-time Pro Bowl fullback who was released by the Baltimore Ravens last week, was one of 13 professional players who signed autographs and interacted with hundreds of fans during the third NFL Day on the Waterfront on Friday.


The Ravens’ decision to cut Leach after the former East Carolina star helped them win the Super Bowl on Feb. 3 might have come as a surprise to some, but Leach said he is optimistic about whatever comes next.
