East Carolina University has announced that a contract extension for men’s basketball coach Jeff Lebo was approved Friday by the University’s Board of Trustees.

The deal should help secure Lebo’s position at ECU through the 2018-19 season.

“I have a tremendous appreciation for this great university and the confidence that Dr. (Steve) Ballard and Terry Holland have shown in me,” Lebo said, referring to Chancellor Ballard and director of athletics Holland. “I will continue to do my best to lead this program in a positive direction.”
