Baseball is brand new again for Chase McDonald.

The former J.H. Rose baseball star is as imposing a figure as he ever was as a Rampant, even now that he's a college freshman at East Carolina.


His 6-foot-4, 259-pound frame and dangerous swing have made him a natural clean-up hitter, and while he's still learning the basics of the college game, he's filling, literally, a big role with the Pirates.
