History was made the last time Memphis visited Greenville for a men’s basketball game against East Carolina.

After losing the previous nine meetings between the teams, the Pirates recorded their first-ever win against the Tigers on March 2, 2011, downing the perennial Conference USA power 68-57 in Minges Coliseum.


Memphis pays a return visit to Minges tonight for a 7 o’clock tip-off and although teams try their best to treat each game the same, hosting a team of the Tigers’ caliber is a little different.
